Join us in the iconic ICA for this months supper club, BRAIN HEALTH, menus will be designed to help support your cognitive function.

This September THE GUT brings their Food For Thought supper club to the ICA, this month’s focus is Brain Health. The four course menu will be designed by Anna Boglione, with ingredients known to help improve your cognitive function.

Food for Thought is a rolling supperclub series that brings people together to connect over the universal joys of eating whilst engaging in conversation and the exchange of ideas. Sister company to Petersham Nurseries, THE GUT, creates fresh vibrant recipes with the highest quality ingredients.

THE GUT works alongside organic farmers, nutritionists, herbalists, chefs, yogis and other practitioners to deepen the collective conversation around holistic and sustainable methodologies via bespoke events, talks, retreats, workshops and dining experiences.

This summer we invite you to join us at one of our culinary retreats, hosted at Il Casale Denari Flower Farm, a 15th century converted Augustinian convent. These retreats celebrate the season’s bounty, set within a breathtaking opulent location.

In September, Petersham Nurseries’ head chef Ambra Papa will return to her homeland to cook seasonal Tuscan classics she grew up with, intertwined with some signature Petersham Nurseries dishes to also feature on her menu. Together with sous chef Jacob Keen-Downs, she will teach a workshop on Tuscan seafood specialities, before guests sit down to enjoy their handiwork at an al fresco lunch. We will be sourcing the best summer has to offer, to be enjoyed in the fields. In the afternoon head out on a nature walk, enjoy the local village, jump in the pool or head up to the spa, tucked away in the convents rafters, for a deep tissue massage. On Sunday the flower studio will open its doors for our guests to make their own bouquet ready to take home, before our farewell lunch.

About Ambra : Head chef at Petersham Nurseries, Richmond, Ambra’s attention to taste and detail saw her take the helm back in 2017. Having grown up in and out of her family’s restaurants in Tuscany, Ambra’s passion for food and produce led her away from her studies and into the kitchen. After graduating from cookery school she worked in a Michelin Star restaurant in Florence. Helvetia & Bristol, before moving to London to work for Hix and later Petersham Nurseries - where she recently won a sustainability Green Michelin Star. Alongside her sous chef Jacob Keen, Ambra will be exploring seasonal Tuscan classics, coupled with signature Petersham dishes.
